TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

These terms and conditions may change without notice. All customers are advised to review the terms and conditions before making a transaction with The Vintage Tent Company.

 

Shipping

 

For security reasons, all first orders paid for by card can only be shipped to a billing address. If an alternative address is entered when you place your first order, it will still go through our online terminal but will not be processed and we will need to contact you to take an alternative method of payment before we can ship.

 

To process an order to you as quickly as possible please be sure the details are correct on your order, including items, delivery and billing address and contact numbers are correct, as once your order is in the system, orders will have to be halted and retrieved to make any changes. This will delay delivery of your order and The Vintage Tent Company reserve the right to charge the customer for any charges that have been incurred for making changes to the order.

 

Our mainland UK shipping promise is arrival within 5 working days of the order and payment being received. Any orders outside the mainland UK or made to a third-party vendor may take longer.

 

If anything is out of stock we will inform you at the top of the product page. There may be products from time to time that will take longer for delivery. This will be specified on the product page and on your order confirmation.

 

Shipping costs can be found on most product pages, and the shopping cart will automatically work out how much you will be charged when you get to the end of your order, and our site can calculate a rough shipping cost for you before you place your order. Some of our items come directly from the supplier or third-party vendors, so charges for those items will

be separate.

 

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties.

 

Product Information

 

All pictures of our tents are for illustrative purposes only. There may be occasions where the shade of the tent shown on the website differs slightly from the delivered product. This can be down to a number of factors including the sourcing of the canvas itself.

 

Exclusions of Liability

 

We will not be liable for any loss of income, loss of profits, loss of markets, loss of reputation, loss of customers, loss of use, loss of an opportunity even if we had knowledge that such damages or loss might arise or for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages or loss howsoever arising including without limitation breach of contract, negligence, wilful act or default. We are not liable if we do not fulfill any obligations towards you at all as a result of: circumstances beyond our control such as (but not limited to): Acts of god including earthquakes, cyclones, storms, flooding, fire, disease, fog, snow or frost; force majeure including (but not limited to) war, accidents, acts of public enemies, strikes, embargoes, perils of the air, local disputes or civil commotions; national or local disruptions in air or ground transportation networks and mechanical problems to modes of transport or machinery; latent defects or inherent vice in the contents of the shipment; criminal acts of third parties such as theft and arson.

 

Our tents come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. By manufacturing defect we mean things like:

Bad stitching

Bad proofing

Missing parts

If your tent has a manufacturing defect or is damaged in transit please take pictures of the

packaging and the damage straight away and contact us.

 

We also sell tents through third party vendors on our platform who may have different warranty details than the tents we manufacture. If you are unsure of your warranty details please contact our team and we will send them to you.

 

Our tents are not manufactured to withstand extreme weather conditions, our warranty does not offer to cover situations in which poles have bent as a result of windy/ stormy conditions.

 

We offer a 14-day cooling off period from delivery in line with the consumer rights act and we recommend you check your tent and familiarize yourself with it within that period and

come back to us if you think there is a defect.

 

RETURNS & REFUNDS POLICY

 

If goods are found to be faulty or damaged upon delivery or not of satisfactory quality, please contact us within 14 working days of receipt of the goods. We will either repair, deliver replacement goods or refund the price paid. 

If you have returned a faulty item and want a refund we will have to check the faulty item. Once we have established the fault you will be refunded for the item.

You will not be entitled to a refund if you accidentally damage the item, misuse it, cause a fault, try to repair it, or use it in a manner for which it was not intended.

 

Warranty

 

The tents come with insured shipping and a 12-month manufacturer guarantee against manufacturing defects. Please note: this guarantee covers manufacturing issues (such as bad stitching and water-proofing), but it is not a blanket insurance policy against damage caused by wear and tear or adverse weather conditions, such as high winds or misuse.
